Summer is officially over. The days are getting shorter and the rain is rolling in on a daily basis. Refusing to be trapped in the house this Saturday, we hiked in the rain to Boulder River Falls. We were the only people on the trail. Sophia loved running through the puddles and playing in the rain. It's not the best conditions to hike in but it was worth it, the falls were beautiful. We sat under a large Doug Fir, ate our lunch and enjoyed the falls. Here are some shots from the trip. Also included are some shots of Sophia this morning helping her dad in the yard. I couldn't resist pulling the camera out...she was the picture perfect child of fall.
