I am so excited; I have to type this real time. It is 10 pm, Sophia is sound asleep and we have just elected a new president, a man who has made history. Our daughter will get to see change happen over the next 4 years and we will be able to tell her we made history by casting our vote. Our friends, Chad and Anouk, joined us for dinner and drinks and watched as Barack Obama gave his acceptance speech. At this moment, I am hopeful and proud to be an American.

We were pretty happy at our house too! (Well except for the Prop 8 stuff but that's another story.)
